The pandemic has been a very difficult time for many of us. With having to adjust our lives to stay safer and healthier, that often meant spending time apart from the people we love. For artist and retired educator Eve Page Mathias, the pandemic gave her time to reflect on herself and to look forward to seeing those absent from her life. During this time, her "Big Red Chair Project" was born and it allowed her to reconnect with those friends and colleagues she missed dearly. This exhibition is a series of large paintings - portraits of women meaningful to the artist.
