Over the past two decades, Bill Gould has become one of the premier public installation artists in the Bay Area. As an architect and artist, he brings sensibilities of both to works that accentuate the interplay of structure, form, aesthetics, and the ever changing effects of light and sound. His large scale public works have been commissioned for schools, parks, and recently at the entrance to Anne & Mark’s Art Party 2016 (pictured).
This coming February, Bill Gould will tackle the interior space of the Triton Museum of Art rotunda, to create a site-specific installation that will dance above the heads of visitors and along the vista glass wall, bringing outdoors in (or is it indoors out?). Architecture and art will become one in this amazing installation.
Visitors will also have an opportunity to experience and acquire a Bill Gould installation for their own home. Each year artists from throughout our community donate works to be auctioned at the Triton’s annual gala fundraiser (April 29, 2017), and this year Bill has generously donated a site-specific installation designed just for your home or yard. The successful bidder will consult directly with the artist as he imagines, presents, and then creates a transforming work of art just for you. Watch here for more details and how you can vie for this amazing opportunity!
