ArtStudio FAll 2019 Class Schedule

On-site art classes are offered throughout the year in a variety of media for all ages and levels of training. Together with our professional artist/educators, students explore the creative process in a supportive and experimental environment, and all classes involve educational experiences in the museum galleries.


Acrylics A-Z with Jeff Bramschreiber

DATES:Thursdays, September 26 - November 21, 2019 (no class 10/31)

TIME:6pm – 9pm

FEE:$190.00 TMA member, $210 nonmember ($25 drop in fee per class)

Learn exciting techniques in acrylic painting and enhance your artistic skills in this 8 week session class. In this course, you will create and develop 4 paintings in topics ranging from a pop culture portrait to a traditional landscape.

Explorations in Drawing with Jeff Bramschreiber

DATES:Fridays, September 27 - December 6 (no class 10/4 & 11/29)

TIME:6pm – 9pm

FEE:$170.00 TMA member, $190 nonmember ($25 drop in fee per class)

This class will explore all the dimensions of traditional and contemporary approaches to drawing from the fundamentals to illustration. Students will use a variety of traditional and mixed media approaches including dry and wet techniques.

Uninstructed Life Drawing with Kristin Lindseth

DATES:Fridays, October 4 - November 22, 2019

TIME:1:00pm – 3:30pm

FEE:$180 member, $200 non-member, $160 for students with a valid ID ($25 drop in fee per class)

Draw, paint or sculpt from life in a series of open sessions with models both male & female. These uninstructed life drawing sessions are for all levels of experience, beginning to professional. Tables, easels and chairs provided. We have 10 easels on a first-come, first-served basis. Model fees are included. Class runs with a minimum of 5 registered students. 8 sessions.
